Join the PTO

Dear Parents and Friends,

Please consider joining the Waikiki School PTO.

You will be joining a Parent-Teacher-Ohana organization that:

  • seeks to involve all Waikiki School Families
  • organizes the annual Great Waikiki Fun Run, Fun Fair, and Ohana Nights
  • raises money to fund the technology program, which is expensive and beyond the scope of the DOE budget
  • supports Camp Erdman, Field Trips, the Music Program, the Garden Club, and many other extra curricular and enrichment activities

The Waikiki PTO is a 501c3 charitable organization and is now part of the Hawaii State PTSA and National PTA. All donations are tax-deductible. To join us, please follow this two-step process:

1) Fill out the Membership Registration Form online
2) Pay the membership fee (see below for more details on each option)

Foodland Give Aloha Program   In the month of September, you can pay your dues at Foodland and a portion of your funds will be matched by the Give Aloha program, an annual community matching gifts program!  Waikiki's code is 77703.  Any cashier can also look up the code for you also. Please send the receipt to school ATTN: PTO with yours and your students' name and classroom.

If you choose to pay via check, please make payable to Waikiki PTO and send to school with yours and your students' name and classroom (but it's better to pay at Foodland in Sept see above).

The basic membership fee covers the $9.25 dues to the State and National PTSA (you will become a member of all three organizations). Any amount above $9.25 will go toward support of the Waikiki PTO.

Consider joining the Waikiki Century Club, by contributing $100 or more during the school year. Members of the Century Club are recognized publicly each year for their contributions. These funds provide extra educational services to all students that make Waikiki such a special school. We thank you for your support of and investment in your child's education.

All members of the PTO meet three times a year (in August, December, and May) to discuss and vote on the PTO executive members and budget. PTO members can also join the PTO board and meet once each month (times TBD) to decide on issues concerting the PTO and the school in the office conference room.

Sincerely,
Fenix Grange
